Interwoven explores the relationship between structure, accumulation and organic growth. Hundreds of slender elements intersect and overlap, creating a composition where apparent chaos gradually gives way to rhythm and balance – giving the work its name.
Crafted in brass and microcement, the sculpture brings together contrasting materials and processes. Its intricate brass framework shifts with the viewer’s perspective, revealing changing patterns of light, shadow and negative space. Set against a geometric microcement base, its irregularity creates a tension between order and spontaneity, drawing inspiration from repetition, natural growth and evolving organic structures.
